Quick Start

This guide will help you create your first snippet and learn the basic workflow.

Create Your First Snippet

  1. Press Cmd+N to create a new snippet
  2. Type a name (e.g., “hello.py”) and press Enter
  3. The editor is now focused - start typing your code:
def hello(name):
return f"Hello, {name}!"
print(hello("World"))
  1. Press Cmd+S to save

Run Your Code

  1. With your Python snippet open, press Cmd+R
  2. The Output Panel appears at the bottom showing:
Hello, World!

Search Your Snippets

  1. Press Cmd+F to open the search bar
  2. Type any word from your snippet
  3. Results appear instantly as you type
  4. Press Enter to open the selected result

Use filters to narrow your search:

  • lang:python - Only Python snippets
  • tag:api - Only snippets with the “api” tag
  • folder:work - Only snippets in the “work” folder

Organize with Tags

  1. Open any snippet
  2. Press Cmd+T to open the tag editor
  3. Type tags separated by commas: python, tutorial, hello-world
  4. Press Enter to save

Create Folders

  1. Right-click in the sidebar
  2. Select “New Folder”
  3. Name your folder and press Enter
  4. Drag snippets into the folder to organize them

Favorite Important Snippets

Press Cmd+D to toggle favorite status on any snippet. Favorites appear in a dedicated section in the sidebar.
